All 7 Harry Potter Books Now Available On Amazon’s Kindle Owners’ Lending Library [Updates]

Posted on | June 20, 2012 | No Comments

More good news for Harry Potter fans! Amazon has announced that all 7 Harry Potter books are now available to borrow from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, where Amazon Prime members can borrow up to one book per month for free. The Harry Potter books are available to borrow in English, Italian, French, Spanish and German. The Harry Potter books join an already existing collection of 145,000 books which Prime members can borrow for free.

Users who wish to borrow Harry Potter books will only be able to borrow one book at a time, but there are no due dates, and Amazon promises an unlimited supply of the books, so you’ll never have to wait in line for a book that’s already “checked out”. You won’t find the Harry Potter books on sale on the Amazon website – the rights are still exclusively owned by Pottermore – so if you wish to purchase the books, you still have to go through Pottermore.

As with any other Kindle book, any notes, highlights or bookmarks you make in the Harry Potter e-books will be saved, and you’ll be able to access them again if you ever re-borrow the book or decide to purchase it.

Amazon Prime is Amazon’s premium membership option, and is available for $79 a year in the U.S. only. Aside from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, Prime members also enjoy two-day shipping on items and free streaming of 18,000 movie and TV titles.
